If someone wanted to learn more about geology and how to look for precious gems and rare minerals, what would you recommend for reading material? I'm purely a hobbyist, but it might be kind of nice to hike into the backcountry and look for some painted specks once in a while.

Your gonna have to clean out your saws and cupel it to see how much gold a.d sulfides end up in the saw dust,,, just for fun after a while of cutting ,,,,
