My covert narcissist wife used to accuse me of being attracted to our neighbor. It eventually occured to me that she found her to be attractive, which is why she would accuse me of it. I couldn’t stand her personality, so it didn’t matter if she was attractive or not to me.

Here's the plot: 1) she's seemingly super nice, sweet, giving, NORMAL. 2) Out of nowhere and for no perceivable reason (with zero communication) she becomes enraged, passive aggressive, vindictive, insulting, BIZARRE. 3) partner reacts because he's HUMAN and doesn't like it, calls her out, demands accountability and an explanation so compromise can be reached (none is given). 4) she retreats in anger and resentment - hides behind a locked door, doesn't take calls/texts, gives one word answers, no eye contact, rude, WIERD. Back to step 1, repeat. Like a never ending crazy loop of Scooby Doo, painfully predictable to the point of being comical. But still awful.
