If ye read the article... he says a lot more than this... he recognises the importance of the venue and says its a pity that it's not re-vamp. He actually even says the food is really good too. I'd imagine there's a lot of carpet and fabric all over that all venue, a lot of building material also leak odours after a certain time, even paints etc... dust under floorboards which is mostly skin cells... I'd imagine it's like walking in to a very old person's home.

He's right. Compare the crucible to the rest of the globes arenas for top sporting events? It is a shit hole, below par massively. WST or Sheffield does not want to spend a single penny on improvements. Typical British mindset.
