I’ve definitely noticed at lot of my fav creators with less views lately but I even know for myself I’m feeling so bogged down with life and the news and content that it’s just taking me longer to get to watching things than it did in the past :(

I'm french, and i basically stopped watching videos in english on my phone because youtube dubs them automatically with an awful artificial generated voice. I'm not saying that's all that's happening regarding views, but it's a symptom of youtube just becoming a worse place overall

i dont know how relevant this is to everyone else, but the ai features on the comment sections fucks with my want to even click on it. when, from my phone, the only thing i can see is a stupid, unnecessary ai summarization of the comments it makes me not want to click on them, which means im not engaging with the videos i watch in the same way anymore.

I watched and loved it immediately! I think your same viewers are all here, and YouTube is just bugging out and false flagging views as bots lately :(( AI is busy ruining everything for everyone, people are saying it's about adblock but I don't think that it is, there wasn't a sudden increase in people using adblock as far as I know lol

I really want to watch more of my favourite creators but YouTubes aggressive advertising is ruining it. It’s hard to enjoy something when every video is being interrupted with advertisements every 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. I know they’re just trying to pressure me into signing up for YouTube premium, but I’m stubborn and I’d rather leave this platform than cooperate with the manipulation.

YouTube doesn’t push out videos of people I’m subscribed to. It keeps all the new videos hidden under the subscribed tab. I’ll see notifications, but it gets overwhelming just seeing lists of new videos. They use to just push out new videos from channels I’m subscribed to in my feed. It felt more organic.

1. I think lots of us go through media cycles between youtube and other forms, sich as podcasts and audiobooks, etc. as well as content types, such as leaning more comedy, horror, lighter topics, etc. I think we follow similar cycles when something booms and we all get sucked in a particular direction at the same time, because these posts always happen when I've dropped off youtube for a while lol 2. This doesn't apply to this video in particular, but i for one definitely get burned out on algorithm driven content that creators likely do not actually care about. Seeing all my faves address what is most likely a flash in the pan all in tandem can be fun if im super invested in the topic, but often its like seeing everyone's take on Ned Fullmer. I cannot be convinced everyone actually cares the same amount about every trending topic nor is every trending topic actually video worthy. This is by no means a criticism of you in particular, but a trend among commentary YouTube at large that burns me out in cycles and has me taking breaks for weeks or a couple months before returning, or has me rewatching videos of more interest not only to me, but that the creator seems genuinely interested in. The HBomberGuy style is not viable for everyone, but i would rather watch a deep dive on Oof as someone in my 30s who has never touched a roblock in my life than hear umpteen takes on a topic we'll all forget about in a week. Idk how common this perspective is, i do think my first point may be more broadly applicable, but thought it worth mentioning. Love your content and will rewatch your entire backlog when the spirit strikes 💜

I go through cycles of burnout on content. I'm trying to do more activism in real life instead of just consuming content. With interesting videos I want to save them for when I have the headpsace to pay attention and focus, plus there are ones that I'll be saving to watch with my partner so that requires us both being in the mood. Also you're on nebula now, so I'll be watching you there.

apparently the fact that adblock are now strictly banned from the website (there is no way to use one and watch videos) are disincentivising desktop users from watching at all.. rumor has it
