Pros and cons: Hanks are easier to ship. For wools, hanks are preferrable because they don't stretch the yarn unnecessarily. With cotton I don't think it matters if they are hanked or caked up. Cakes are easier to handle. Hanks might be easier to store (take up less space), but cakes stack up nicely, whereas hunks can disappear under/behind other yarn.

Charge extra for the Hank's, but many of us have physical problems. But definitely charge at least US3

I don't have a swift or ball winder so I'd prefer a cake, but ask the people who buy which one they want.

I would give them the choice. I know some people don't want them caked until they are ready to use it. Just my thoughts. 🤷♀️

I would just offer the service I prefer Hank but a lot of yarn companies charge a small fee to wind them for people with out swifts and yarn winders.

You could sell it in Hank form the an up charge to cake it like some others do. Just a thought.

I have heard it's best not to put hanks into cakes until getting ready to use. I would let them choose how they want it

Crochet Eh Canada
I know a lot of crocheters may not have a swift and therefore stray away from buying yarn hank.
Question: When I start selling my dyed Cotton Yarn should I sell them in Hank form or put them in Cake form? What is your preference?
