WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT PARK (I REPEAT) DO NOT PARK at Cheeverstown LUAS Park and Ride near Citywest, West Dublin

I parked here and paid €1 for a 4 hour ticket and went for a walk for just over an hour (because I’m working in Dublin at the moment) on Tuesday July 16th 2024. I came back to find my car along with the car next to mine being broken into. They smashed the small window of passenger side rear door, unlocked it and basically trashed the car. Everything was all over the place. Luckily nothing was stolen (as far as I know), but this will cost money to repair the window that was smashed. I strongly advise everyone who drives a car NOT to park here and if possible, park in an enclosed car park with full security (like the Tallaght Cross West P&R). This isn’t fully safe either, but at least there is more cameras and security guards on full duty on site. I’m sure many Dubliners already know the reputation of these Park and Ride car parks, but for the likes of me who is a born and bred country man, it’s no harm in knowing if anyone coming up from the country is wanting to avoid parking in the city centre of Dublin and wants to take public transport in. Dundrum or Tallaght Park and Rides are your best option.
