Today we celebrate the first publication of On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin #OTD in 1859. And while the initial print run of 1,250 copies sold out on the first day...it actually wasn't his best selling book during his lifetime. That honor goes to The Formation of Vegetable Mould Through the Action of Worms (1881) - which we did an episode on!
