Thanks for everyone’s comments and feedback on my last post about Paula White. There’s no question that the majority of Christians want a righteous standard represented in the White House. Many have been grateful that President Trump created the Faith Office and has consistently invited in pastors and faith leaders to advise him. Those who have attended those meetings state how receptive he has been to biblical values and convictions. A far cry from previous presidents.
President Trump’s appointment of Paula White was no surprise given she had been a longtime friend and “personal pastor” for years (thank God he even had a pastor). And given his specific priorities for this faith office (to protect religious liberty), he was not looking for just a figure head. No doubt, he felt she was an obvious choice. That said, I did a little more digging and understand why some of you feel she needs to be removed altogether. (Many on my Facebook page felt she should be totally disqualified from any ministry). The truth is, there are numerous advisors close to the President that need to be removed. This administration is still rife with moles and counterfeits.
As I considered this, I was led back to President Trump. Regardless of White’s questionable qualifications for this position, it was President Trump who appointed her. And he’s the one that will have to see the need for any change (unless the Lord removes her on His own). But this is probably where our prayers are best targeted. To continue to pray that this president will have a deeper revelation of exactly WHY God’s hand redirected that bullet in Butler, PA.
President Trump may be a great international diplomat and savvy economic genius, but until he fully embraces his call to champion a righteous standard in this nation, his legacy will be short lived and God’s purposes for his tenure will be incomplete (nothing is automatic - he still needs prayer to fulfill his assignment!) Let’s pray his heart and mind are opened to a deeper and more personal faith in Christ. And let’s pray that his eyes and ears are opened to recognize those in his midst who are not headed in that same direction.
