WHAT THE FLUFF $80 is ridiculous meaning that other gaming systems like PS five will also take advantage of jacking the game prices up to $80 to as high as $100. What’s even worse is that some of the games are not even completed you have to be forced to buy digital content to finish the game. This is why I’ve been buying physical games when they are dirt cheap.

I'm reading and then I come across "Nintendo finally became aware of game chat" and that's when I died 😂

I'm old enough to remember that last time Video game prices were raised across the board. The gaming journalists came out in defense of the game companies & said something to the effect of, because of the technology & labor/manpower that go into making these games $60 really isn't that expensive; infact they should probably cost more.

Not to mention game carts will be empty and you’ll have to download from their cloud stream to the cart itself. We’re witnessing the fall of ninty in real time - the soul died alongside iwata.

Can't wait to see your video on this. There is a lot of criticism and pushback out there right now against Nintendo. Hopefully they listen.

The physical price was in-fact not the same, but more apparently, $10 more.

Biggest disappointment is that physical games don’t really have the games on them. That’s pretty much the official end of physical media at this point.

$450 bucks for the console. $80 for Mario Kart. Allegedly charges to upgrade your backwards compatible games... Sorry, Nintendo. This is gonna be a used purchase off of EBay for me in a few years.

Going to stick with my Switch Oled for a while, it looks really good (the performance bump looks amazing and so do the games) but I have such a big backlog on switch, pc and my older systems (like GameCube, Wii and Dreamcast) that £395 is too much for me to justify. Definitely will get it just not yet (maybe I'll get it in year 2 once there are more exclusives that I can't play on PC like a new Mario, Pikmin, Yoshi or mainline Zelda game)

Overall, I have mixed feelings on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 IMHO. On one hand, I’m perfectly fine with the cost of the system, “Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour” game and upgrade packs for my Nintendo Switch 1 games. But on the other hand, the prices for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 games are too high for me to spend and I’m just going wait for them to be on sale unless Nintendo lowers the prices on them. BTW, I absolutely loved the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct and I would have to give it an A+! Way better than the Xbox Developer Direct and PlayStation State of Play earlier this year!

For that much money, the system better be at least as powerful as an Xbox One X or PS4 pro!

$80 for digital?!?! What? I think the prices might turn off a lot of parents buying this for their kids. Nintendo was always the cheap option but now....um.

So #NintendoSwitch2 will launch June 5th 2025.
No pre-order date.
Feels like an evolution of the Switch rather than a new platform, by choice.
GameCube support for Switch 2 Online coming.
Nintendo also became aware of Game Chat systems.
Mario Kart World looks great.
Update: Price for the Mario Kart World digital bundle is $499 USD (plus tax).
Console only is $449 USD (plus tax).
Another update, Mario Kart World (digital) is $80 USD.
Implying, but unconfirmed that physical games may be the same or more.
