Dogs bite and bark, cats don't, and if they do, it's just cute.

I will always ask the owner before approaching or petting their dog, and will always let the dog sniff me first if given the okay. I let the dog decide if they are okay to be petted, and wait for their cues first before proceeding. I always respect the dog if they don't wish to be petted, are skittish, or showing nervousness and aggression, and stop. Never force a dog to be petted if they don't wish to be.

I'm extremely wary of some dogs. Others are fun. But I generally prefer the company of cats. Even the meanest cat can only do so much damage. And I know how to treat them to not annoy them.
