For me the opposite happened; I had a healthy appetite as a child, but as an adult, I sometimes amaze even myself with how much food I can and sometimes need to consume. Entire pizzas? Consumed. Garlic bread? I’ve had eight slices in one sitting a few times. A meal involving a “dual quarter pound” burger, large chips, and a milkshake? 4,500 kilojoules or so and roughly 95 grams of protein processed in under an hour. Working out does come with the trouble of occasional hunger pangs if one goes for a long time without a substantial meal, but the mental health and physical health benefits are worth it.
