Nintempo

Again, I don't know who/how many people will end up seeing this, but hello again and sorry for this wall of text!

I initially began doing stuff with video game music on MuseScore in the hopes of making cool orchestral versions, which quickly turned into simple remasters and reimaginings due to the software limitations at the time.

Now, with the release of MuseScore 4, I'm able to use VSTs (yay!) which means I can hopefully make better quality sounding remixes/remasters! What this also means is that I can now make orchestral versions of songs that I'm actually happy with.

Basically, what this means for the channel is that I'll have some orchestral versions of songs thrown in with the normal remasters and reimaginings. Some songs are definitely more suited for an orchestra, so those will typically be the ones getting orchestral versions (for example, songs like Bob-omb Battlefield would get remasters or reimaginings whereas songs like the Fire Emblem theme would get an orchestral version, and then songs like Termina Field could go either way). I'm sure some would think the orchestral versions are ultimately better, and I'd probably be inclined to agree, but the reason I'm going to continue with the remasters, etc. is because I feel like they can bring out things like a song's genre, whether it be Rock, Metal, or Bossa Nova, in a way an orchestral version cannot.

In addition, I don't have any full soundtrack reworks in progress right now, but I do have a smaller soundtrack selection from a Gameboy Advance I am working on. For the most part the songs in it will be remasters and trying to stay faithful to the vibe of the piece, but a few songs in it are orchestral, so again you can expect to see this sort of thing in the future and I'm sorry if the change between songs is ever jarring because of that.

Finally, I have a proof of concept for orchestrations coming soon, so let me know what you think!
