NesHacker

Hey everyone, thanks for all the views, follows, and the feedback! There have been so many positive comments I have had a hard time really keeping up, so sorry if I missed you!

For those who are curious I took a hiatus from making videos, but I haven't given up on the channel. As a matter of fact, I am working on a new video right now about the CIC lockout chip. It's a somewhat deep topic and I am taking my time with research and the writing, so it could be a little while before it comes out. That said, I've been chipping away at it and have made quite a bit of progress in the last week. So fingers crossed, I'll have it out before too long.

Okay, I'm going to get back to it. Thanks again for all the support and feedback. I sincerely appreciate it :)

@neokokido

Glad to see you are still around. I just ran across your videos a few days ago and your assembly crash course was just what I needed to finally get some basic interactable code running in an NES emulator. Looking forward to more content!

Thank God! I have to admit, I was worried. I got into 6502 assembly via an Atari 2600 programming course on Udemy. Then I got a copy of NESMaker. It was all over after that. I've been hooked ever since despite never having done programming before (minus some really basic stuff on Arduino and TI-99 basic for making chiptunes). I've made music on the NES as a chiptune artist for years but I never thought to make a game until now. I tweeted about you recently and talked about how sad I was that you weren't making videos anymore. Good to know it was just a break---which everyone deserves at some point, for sure. Looking forward to more vids! You've taught me so much already.

Please don't give up, everything you upload is so interesting and so useful for people who wants to learn about the NES, this message could sound a little bit generic hahaha but it really comes from the heart, keep up the good work!

This is by far the best channel related to NES programming. I'm relatively new to this topic and your videos helped me a lot to understand how NES works. I'm currently working on developing a customized cart similar to everdrive as my grade thesis and found your channel while doing my research. Looking forward to your next video!

I recently stumbled over your channel and was impressed by how clearly you explained complex material - it was a real surprise that your videos hadn't yet reached more widely. It's great to hear you're still active and planning more content!

I used to do z80 assembly AGES ago (I'm 53 and I was 16 at that time) and later did some x86 as well. I took your 6502 crash course out of curiosity and nostalgia (never had a NES but had an Apple II clone) and I'm thinking about find some 6502 kit just for the kicks :)

I really enjoy your content. I'll be honest, I don't really know much about code, so a lot of it goes over my head. I dabbled in it a little, but I just couldn't get it all to absorb. Still, it's fascinating to learn about how this all works, and I'll be happy to see what you've got cookin' for us for the next video.
