What's even stupider is that the US (where youtube is based and where I imagine it bases its interpretation of copyright on) has a fair use provision that EXPLICITLY COVERS commentary on copyrighted content, as well as parody and educational content - according to US copyright law, using content from copyrighted material is allowed in those cases without permission from the copyright holder. Youtube has absolutely no legal right to do keep doing this, and I have no idea how they keep getting away with it. I have no idea why no one has filed a class action lawsuit, though I imagine if they did the corrupt BS courts here would just rule in Youtube's favor anyway because no one has rights here anymore except corporations

I was in the middle of watching it yesterday when I got pulled away and didn't come back to my PC until this morning, and when I went to watch it I saw it had been taken down! It made me chuckle, of course they would copyright claim your video Roman, I'm sorry you have to deal with that bs man

I'm fortunate that I got a chance to see it before it got taken down. I was going to tell others about your video but now I can't. It is ridiculous that YouTube removed it since it was obviously a critique of the series and not an unauthorized upload of a bootlegged copy of the entire series. It was a rare chance to actually see what that series was like since it probably won’t be shown anywhere in my country (USA) due to sanctions against Russia.

Glad I saw it before it was taken down. I didn't think I'd make it through the whole video, but the absurdity of this Russian show had me dumbfounded and cringed.

My recent video got copyrighted by a Russian company and got blocked worldwide.
It was a review of a new Russian TV show called Goodbye (2024), which is an awful sitcom about Joe Biden visiting Russia. The video was almost an hour long and was made over the course of a few months, so it's a shame and a ton of wasted work.
I will try to appeal and do what I can within YouTube's system, but the video unfortunately probably will not be up for some time.
Quite interesting how YouTube has turned off monetization and AdSense for all Russian YouTubers, but is still accepting copyright claims from Russia. Video on this incoming, I guess
