How are you? π€ I pray all is well. As I sipped on golden milk this morning, I realized that a year ago around this time I traveled to Costa Rica for the first time. While visiting the country solo for a month, I was determined to immerse myself in Costa Rica's vibrant cultural scene.
I visited San Jose (city), Santa ana (suburbs), Belen (suburbs), La Fortuna (mountains), Grecia (mountains), Cocles (Caribbean side), and Puerto Viejo (Caribbean side). I loved Barrio Escalante and La Sabana in San Jose. I saw the entire country except the Pacific side.
If you are thinking about visiting or moving to Costa Rica, I strongly encourage you to visit during the rainy season. Hotels and Airbnb's are cheaper and it's Afro-Descendant Month. Over the next 9 days, I will be sharing never before seen content from my trip to Costa Rica to commemorate Afro-Descendent Month. π
Fun Fact: I am 36.6% Afro-Caribbean according to my genetic makeup. While I do not know the country of Origin, Costa Rica was listed as a possible originating country. π If you have not taken a DNA test to determine your ancestry, consider it. You will learn so much about you and your ancestors. For instance, I learned that my ancestors were Maroons and we had ancestors in Mexico eight generations ago.
A little water for your growth today π§π·My mug says, "Take Life One Cup AT A Time." What a powerful statement! Sometimes we just need to slow down, re-evaluate, and process before we move forward. You can't keep going, doing, being, and think it won't catch up with you. When I read this mug, it says REST, EASE, PATIENCE...
