Soooo I need your help, I'm thinking about starting a series of extra monster and prop building tutorial videos on my channel, a bit like my 'making of videos' but more educational and about a specific topic. Are there any stages of my monster/prop building process or techniques you'd be interested in me making a tutorial on? Could also be any part of my film making process? Anything? ANYTHING AT ALL!?

I know youve kinda gone over it, but info about how you move from the concept stage to the building stage, and designing things with movement in mind would be cool to know!

Maybe a simple step by step that an average person could follow? Like a little monster I could put on my desk. It’s be a great way to introduce basics for us who have no clue where to start. Maybe like a phone holder or cord holder that’s a monster, I’d eat that tutorial up!

My 12 year old son is beyond obsessed with you and your creations. We even got fake teeth to start making our own Hermsters. We love you Will, stay weird.

I would love to see you explain more how you work with latex and polymer clay/ mouldable plastic. And how you make use of sound effects to make them feel more real.

I love the idea of making simple step-by-step tutorials using household materials for smaller monsters/creatures that might be a bit easier to recreate than some of the larger ones. Also, this may be somewhat unrelated, but i was thinking that it would be super cool if you had community challenges, like give us a prompt every once in a while for a new creature to build, then feature your faves in an upcoming video. just a thought :)

I would like to see more on how you do stop-motion. Like how to make it look smooth and what camera settings to use.

I would love a tutorial about how to make a good sculpt out of monster clay, since I want to start making short horror comedy films myself! :)

Even if I never do any animatronic or modeling related art, I find it so fascinating that I would watch pretty much all of it. sometimes I just watch the makings of because they’re so relaxing and interesting.

would love to know what tech you use to film your videos. not sure if you've already covered that, but if not, would be great to see what cameras and lighting gear you use. I would also be interested to learn about your editing process and how you go about planning your shorts- characters first? storyboard it? again, if youve already done these please ignore this, but I am excited to see this new style of video!!

Seeing how you conceptualise a monster desighn would be brilliant and how you fit lore into story beats and the physical desighn <3

I’ve always wondered how you come up with these monsters, a sketchbook tour kinda would be amazing! Or showing us things that inspire you.

I know it sounds a little silly but a step by step of making little monsters. Eventually making bigger and more complex ones! Also going over concept ideas and how you got the ideas for those creatures would be wonderful.

I’d be fascinated to see how you do camera work and editing. I imagine you have to do a lot of lighting work when so many of your props are custom-made.

As an animator, it would be amazing to see your fabrication process. It could teach me a lot that I could then use on my stopmotion projects.

OMG PLEASE YES! I recently got into drag and I want to do horror comedy and your style would fit that theme PERFECTLY! I was honestly really inspired by you to start doing it at all! The tooth fairy was my introduction video. 🥰

I’d like to see how the monster design changes from how you originally envision it compared to when you start sculpting

I would like to see your design process, all of your monsters look really cool and I want to know how you think of the monsters designs!

Maybe a peek in your scetchbook showing what you’ll make in the video an explaining the creative process of how you came up with it? I know you’ve done that before, but it’s always enjoyable and can help us in our own creative journey.

I think it would be cool to see you experiment with different materials and show trial and error. Our failed attempts can be just as informative as our successes. For example I would love to see a video where you try to create your creatures using something similar to latex but isn't latex some people have latex allergies so it would be cool to see that your creatures can be made without it), or experiment with melted saran wrap. I love your work and an in-depth tutorial of any kind from your creation to film making processes would be amazing. You don't have to show yourself experimenting like I suggested. I just thought I could offer this idea. Another tutorial idea can be showing how to come up with the armature structure of your bigger builds would be cool. I know that trying to make a structural support for crazy and larger shapes can be difficult. Seeing a video of how you conceptualize a creature to how you design to supports to actually making them would be very informative.
