Honestly, there needs to be a course in school about DV. I was having a conversation with a woman from Mexico and she told me how normalized it is. I’m not saying all Mexican men do this but unfortunately this is the way many men both in the U.S. and abroad think. I grew up in a DV household and I almost lost my mother to it at the hands of my father. Something in me as a 5 year old knew it wasn’t right. It was never acceptable to me even as a child. But it seems many men feel differently. This is why there needs to be classes at a young age. This is unacceptable.
