The Descent is the best 🇬🇧 horror Movie of all time it does a really great job of making us the viewers feeling trapped in the cave with our Characters, its such a really well done and executed horror flick and for those reasons The Descent gets My Vot

Both great but the descent, the intro alone takes it, the idea of being stuck in a cave alone with no known way out takes it….. the mutated hills have eyes during holiday target shoppers in the cave is the cherry on top

Hostel is sleazy exploitation trash, which is not a criticism. I enjoy some sleazy exploitation trash every now and then, but The Descent is a more definitive horror experience IMO. The scares are effective, you care about the characters enough to not want to see them get killed as brutally as they do, and the antagonists are actual monsters. When it comes to horror movies I tend to prefer literal monsters over human psychopaths, excluding Michael Myers since he's both, but I digress.
