I have a little gap in my teeth. When I was a little kid, it was my favorite part about my smile because it made me feel unique, and I promised myself I would never close it. When I turned 12, I got braces and made a special request that they leave my gap intact. Got my braces removed and loved my mug all the way until I got to be about 17, then I started becoming insecure. But I realized that the insecurity came from social media/tv/outside sources. There was nothing about my teeth that needed to be “fixed”— they weren’t broken. I could chew my food, enunciate my words, etc. 😂 all the functional stuff. And I always personally really liked teeth gaps. I think children are really pure in their interests, so if I liked my smile as a child, why shouldn’t I like it as an adult? I reflected on these things for about a year and the insecurity went away. My gap is pretty small so not everybody notices it, but I get compliments on my smile alll the time :)

i had a gap for a long time but wearing a retainer when i was a preteen made it go away. i'm an adult now, and had all my wisdom teeth removed in october - it was a horrific experience, but i'm glad to see my gap coming back now that there's more room in my mouth haha ! i also have very prominent canines that overlap my other teeth, i hated it for a veeeery long time and honestly they kind of bother me still, but whenever someone tells me it looks cool it heals my insecurity for a moment 🦷🦷

I have a gap that I was super insecure about. My older siblings made fun of me for it all the time- like to the point that I stopped smiling with my teeth showing. It’s taken quite a bit, but now I do kind of like it as an adult; they’re my teeth- they’ve been helping me eat for years pfft I have to be grateful for them

I have gap teeth! I used to be so insecure about them but ive learnt to love them immensely. Mine aren't a thin sliver like yours Crouton, I can pass a straw through mine 😂

i have a gap and misaligned teeth! i was bullied for it my whole childhood to the point i was scared of smiling or laughing or even talking because i didn’t want to draw attention to it. but i’ve grown to love my teeth and i would never ever change them because they make me, Me. i love my gap and i will never let the world try to take away my joy ever again

Used to have a huge gap in the front. I could easily put a pencil in there. But it closed over the years. Nothing exciting.

had braces as a kid but stopped wearing my retainer so my bottom center tooth has slowly drifted wayyyy behind the rest. dentist says we're good for now but eventually gonna have to pull it and have a bottom gap 👍

I don't have gap teeth, but my canines are protruding and wonky. They sit way higher than the rest of my teeth and are a bit raised.
