In my opinion, you were exercising great grace in that you didn't rip his poor grammar to shreds and tell him to try again after he gets through high school.

Oh David. Why do some Christians do the devil's work. Not only in the public media but down through the ages. I for one, love what you have done. Come back with more and squeeze out the AI stuff. God bless you

Sadly there are some who are never happy with anything and will always find a reason to complain. We pray for those individuals and hope they see reason

You’re right. Life can and should be worship. It’s called putting God first in your life because you love Him, He deserves worship and worship is good for your soul. We were created to worship Him in relationship with Him. In return He offers us salvation, joy, perfect peace and eternal life with Him.

Some people love the drawing of sharp distinctions that put them in the right and most other people in the wrong. But Scripture has way more big categories with fuzzy edges -- and plenty of cautionary cases where the wielders of sharp distinctions find themselves on the opposite side from God (Job's friends, most of Jesus's Pharisee interlocutors). Well done responding with grace on this one. Let our worship never be limited to our praise songs-- but let it not exclude them either!

If you don't like it...don't listen. I have been a fan for many, many years. There is some praise and worship music I, personally do not like so I just don't listen. Keep on sharing your talent.

Anyone that starts a comment this way has identified who they are speaking for and it’s not the Lord. The “substance” of their comment isn’t worth paying attention to much less responding to, but represents a heart in need of your prayers and God’s mercy and grace.

Worship is a way of life. Our whole life should bring glory to a holy God & music is only one aspect of it.

I’m just thankful for your music and a little sad, one that you had to stop and two that people waste time arguing over things like this. We should just be glad to all praise and worship God together.

I don't get why people have to be so mean. I was just reading mean comments on a guy's post that has cancer and he tried a more natural approach to treatment but it spread and now everyone is telling him how stupid he was and basically sounding like he deserves this now and how they won't support him anymore. I watch another guy that just does Bible reviews and people attack him all the time too, and he's just showing people features of new Bibles that have come out! It's so crazy. I don't understand. In many cases, these people are supposedly Christian. If they are they need to humble themselves and learn a thing or two about what the Bible says!! The evolution of worship songs is one of my favorite videos! Everything you do is beautiful and glorifies God! I don't think there are going to be mean people in heaven so you mean people better think about that.....

Once again, you have shown an example of Christ-like behavior. I think you live your live in the "what would Jesus do?" style, and I appreciate you, brother!

Worship scholar here (MA in worship studies, and a current Dmin student with an emphasis in worship studies). You offered a more constructive comment than the other person. However, I would like to note first that the first example of worship is not Gen. 22, but rather Gen. 3-4. There seems to be a miss understanding of semantics. Words can have many meanings and can be translated very differently given their contextual use. The Psalms, for example, are praises. Even if some of them qualify more as laments or are called imprecatory. The classification matters only to the quality of distinction. The final portion, one I think that both comments fail to at least assume, is the fact that worship is both individual and communal. Individually one may take more to prayer than song as private worship. But should be present in communal worship. And vice versa. Neither, however, can be said to be "worship" without viewing it in context.

David Wesley
If only all interactions between Christians could be so warm and constructive.😉 Here is the comment on Evolution of Worship Music and my response. I’ve heard this complaint many times, but never so obtusely:
Comment: “This is pathetic! There is no such thing as ‘worship music’ really! Worship is the highest response we ever have to present unto God. Singing is praise unto God, and is very important, but it is not worship! If you want to know more about worship of God look up the first time worship is stated in the bible and learn from there.”
Response: “Worship is more than music, but it’s not accurate to say singing isn’t worship. Praise is actually one form of worship — a subset of it.
Scripture shows many sung acts of worship that aren’t strictly praise: laments (Psalm 13), confessions (Psalm 51), and songs of remembrance (Deut. 32).
The first mention of worship in Genesis 22 shows obedience as worship, but later the Psalms and the early church include music as a worship expression too. So while all praise is worship, not all worship is praise — and worship music is a real, biblical concept.”
We can’t read hearts, but I feel my edification and growth in understanding was not the goal of this comment. Thoughts?
