Your content and video quality are amazing! I’ve been following TrailRecon for a while now, and I love Brad’s content because not only is it great quality in editing and scenery, it’s also clean and my kids enjoy it. I just recently found your channel, and love the videos I’ve seen so far. To the point when I saw the “Lost River Range” video, I told my wife I’m sick of seeing other people do this stuff, I want to go now! 😂 Keep it up! Please, for the sake of the best of YouTube

I don't think you have anything to worry about man. Your channel is huge. Keep up the great work. My channel is small, and I would feel really successful if I had the view and sub count you big channels do. I definitely feel like I should have many more subs than I do... But it'll get there eventually. Either way, I love producing adventure content. My big problem is time... it's tough getting a good amount of videos out every month having a regular full time job.

The good news is that first day performance isn’t necessarily indicative of long-term performance. Or at least that’s what YouTube says and I remind myself every time a video bombs out of the gate. (In practice it’s 50/50.)

Regardless of the algorithm - your (and Off the Grind’s) videos have inspired me to get a truck and get outdoors. You’ve completely improved my quality of life by showing what it’s all about and how to do it. And even though we don’t have the kind of scenery you guys have in the states, I get the same feeling pottering around the Lake District or Snowdonia in the UK. So keep at it man. It matters.

I agree with the notion, that is ridiculous. Particularly in the overlanding community, there is no reason to be a heel in the comments and certainly no reason to be controversial or political. Eric Olsen might be the closest I have seen to politics but even that’s fairly meek in the spectrum of things.

We love all your content! With our channel, we've not seen any changes one way or the other. I'm not sure I'd agree with you based on other channels we follow. All with positive content, I've not seen this to be the case. For example, Kadenventures 50-100+% veiws to subscribers. That's mind-blowing amazing! Others such as Truck House Life and Ambition Strikes are both just keeping the views high. Then you have in our space Ozark Overland Adventures & Down2Mob just consistant across the board. Not to mention Matt has, since the beginning of time, always had long format! I do think that the days of YouTube full times are coming to an end. With Faceless and Ai content on the rise, original content like your amazing storytelling, honest, safe content, epic drone shots, and tasteful music choices are being passed over. Is it less time folks have, summer, school sports, camping just out since everyone is back to work. I don't know, but I do listen to what others are not saying. Just like any business, it may be time to look at the business plan and pivot. Just trust your heart and remember your son will be able to look back at all these amazing trips. I can't stand social media these days, it's disgusting how people treat each other. If it wasn't so necessary for what we do, I'd probably just go offline entirely. Hopefully a few comments will help drive some traffic to your video. I left one for ya 😉

Since February my uploads have done terribly. Like they're not getting recommended at all. I'm just starting out so typically I am in the ~500 view range (some will go well over) but lately it's been ~200 if I'm lucky. I don't have many social media accounts so I share in a post on my page here, on my Instagram account, and where I can on Facebook. But Facebook is known to hide posts with YT links because they would prefer you upload videos to their horrible video feature.

Whoops! It turns out when you accidentally schedule a video for midnight, it doesn't do so well...
It also seems with the new algorithm changes, the only way to get recommended is to be controversial (think politics) or negative (putting others down) in order to get the interactions needed to promote it. My feed is full of divisive and polarizing content, and it sucks. I'm going to go out of my way to comment on all the positive and unifying videos I watch to try and help promote the good side of YouTube again!
