Honestly if you’re playing this card it’s probably the only thing your deck is capable of doing, and your opponent just needs to be able to deal with a single creature to make it go away. Face value it’s scary but I don’t see it as game-breaking.

Currently? No way. Could I imagine a powercrept future where removing a 3 mana 2/2 is so trivial it’s acceptable? Yeah.

I said maybe because it’s possible, I guess, that WOTC will eventually print some easily splashable card (in a format where it occupies a full third of your deck) that would beat lab man without being ban worthy itself, but I really don’t see that happening for a variety of reasons. To me, it seems like the problem of lab man is always going to be that it places a hard limit on what a viable deck can be in the format. Anything that doesn’t remove a creature at instant speed or win before turn 4 on the draw can never beat a lab man deck. Anything that can should be able to always win (assuming the most basic solution of Sand Silos/Saprazzan Cove + lab man + gitaxian probe is the best lab man deck). Having such an obvious limit on variety in deck building would kind of go against what I understand to be the philosophy of the format.

My problem with it is that it's not inmediately obvious if it's capable of winning by itself or not. Do we draw in this format? Or are we just protected from the "lose the game" effect? I know the answer... But I had to check it up
