🎸Rory played music in a way it can-not be duplicated.On this day in 1970 Rory’s band TASTE played Dublin for the last time.Mark Nolan from Spotlight magazine photographed the band that night at the National Stadium “Farewell to the TASTE”,they came home in triumph for a series of sellout concerts in Belfast,Dublin,Cork and Limerick.Never has a group been so widely acclaimed and the scene of fan fervor everywhere they played will not be repeated for a long time to come, but the 2,500 fans who packed into the stadium and 1,000 or more who could not get tickets and stood dejectedly outside were not aware that TASTE would be no more after the w/end,Other wise the wild scenes inside when the crowd refused allow Rory to leave the stage would surely have been wilder and the section of the disappointed crowd outside who tried to storm the doors would have been even more energetic in their efforts to get in. The response of their Irish fans for TASTE’S last concerts was a fitting farewell tribute to the group who pioneered a breakthrough by winning international respect for Irish musicians.Now the way was opened for U2 thanks to RORY GALLAGHER IRELANDS FIRST ROCK STAR ,IRISH ☘️ MUSIC ROYALTY.Rory,you are missed this day and everyday ❤️U4EVER ❤️🎸⚡️☘️💚🤍🧡
