Iām 85k miles in and I serviced it recently because of a squeaking/ bushing sounds. It was a $266 fix. And a door was loose $275 fix. Iām on my 3rd set of tires. First 2 sets were stock tires and I felt like it wore down pretty quickly. I also didnāt rotate it as needed. On my 3rd set, I finally learned. I got Costco tires what comes with free tire rotation. So far so good! I rotate now every 4-5k miles.

After spending hundreds or thousands of dollars every 10,000 kms or so on my ICE boxes in the past, the fact Iām at 55,000 and have only topped up the washer fluid on my M3 is still a pinch me moment. What a scam those companies have run all this time. Combined with the fact there are so many more moving parts on petrol and diesel cars compared with EVs, there is so much more to go wrong. But it has been a HUGE money maker for the old car makers. Again, Tesla shows how it can be done.

I just had my 40,000km service as well. One of the big points I called out was noise coming from cooling fan on the battery. Unfortunately Chatswood Tesla couldnāt replicate my issue. I had to show them when I went to pickup the car. My experience there hasnāt been the greatest so Iāll look to service the car else where soon. Glad to hear your experience was a good one. It is seamless but a bit more attention to detail would be helpful

Do you need to go to the Tesla service centre in Sydney? Are there places in regional centres too?

After reading a lot of comments I am sure Ryan could start another channel based on service questions.

Why the service Ryan? Any particular reason or just for peace of mind? Our model Y is about 12 months old now and coming up to the 40k km mark. I have had no issues and didnāt plan to get it servicedā¦

Excuse me while I have a long opinion. I wouldn't mind electric cars so much if it wasn't being forced on people. First you get more tax money back if you own one. And now car companies are being forced to produce them. It's pathetic. And they don't even look nice on the outside. I'll take my old 2001 GMC Sierra and keep it running thanks. Now don't get me wrong if they made like a ford model t or something like that and put an electric battery in it I think it would be cool. Call it bringing back old cars but with electricity instead of gas. Sign me up when they do that. As long as they keep everything on the inside and out the same
