Notice of Temporary Closure Due to Museum Expansion Construction
The National Hangeul Museum will undergo expansion construction as outlined below to improve the educational and viewing environment.
For the safety of visitors, the museum will be temporarily closed during the construction period.
Please take note of this for your visit.
☑️ Construction Schedule: October 2024 - October 2025 (1 year)
☑️ Construction Details: Renovation of the first floor, expansion of the fourth floor, internalization of the outdoor courtyard, and overall museum construction
☑️ Closure Schedule: October 14, 2024 (Monday) - October 2025 (1 year) 📍Reopening: Scheduled for October 2025
📍During the closure period, all museum facilities, including the exhibition halls, Hangeul Playground, Hangeul Library, cafe, and gift shop, will be unavailable.
📍Detailed information regarding construction and facility usage will be announced again before the closure.
