People hate on me when i say Dragonball Z but i'm 37 ok. I was one of the first white kids i knew to see it in Australia because it hadnt been translated to English yet. So i would have to take my friends tapes to this store in town and get them to translate them and put subtitles over them. I mean i was watching GT and the Brolly movies back then. Before seasonn1 had ever been translated and aired on tv here. So it was my doorway into non engkish anime. And was super niche outside of the asian community i lived in

It's actually tied. Ongoing is One Piece but depending on the day a current close second is Hunter x Hunter which the anime is on "hiatus" (as the mangaka has intermittent hiatus himself) but we ended it in a decent spot.
