@agould53

For me, 10lb or 15lb braid, FG to 20lb mono. I used to use PowerPro exclusively, but I've really been pleased with that J-Braid also.

Braid and either a mono or steel leader depending on the fish and line weight can vary from as low as 2lb for pan fish and up to 80 or 90 for the big boys.

@robertschneider1977

Braid to flouro for most situations for abrasion resistance and a quick and easy cut-off for clearing line nicks. Leader about 20% longer than the largest fish I'm targeting. One a designated top water rig, I will use mono because it stays closer to the surface and gets a better action for the lure.

@cobiakiller7575

Sporting my braid with a top shot of mono. $80 rolls of seagar flouro is for the weekend warriors.

Braid to Flouro: braid for casting distance and no line memory. Flouro because it’s harder to see in the water and has great abrasion resistance. It’s a terrific combo. Tried and true

31 Varivas PE w/ 20# Mono, (occasionally) on most of my Shallow water gear . I grew up on mono and very rarely ever used fluoro. "Tight Lines and Full Limits To Y'all"

@tonybishop51

Braid with mono mainly, unless I’m out of certain weight and have it in a flouro backup

@dave4494

I was using mono, switched to braid, now I'm back to mono, cheaper,more strikes

Braided 100lbs 60lbs steel leader

@StormworksCrabPlayer

For chinook salmon here in OR, we use 65lb braided main line, 20-30lb Fluoro leader, and line counter reels

@sd0753

I use braid with a mono leader on everything but tuna trolling gear. I don't think I'll ever swap braid on my trolling gear. The stretch of the mono is needed on the strike, need that shock absorber

@MichaelSmith-xr4og

That's how you can cast further in more line. Sensitivity back in the day 8lb mono

All depends on the fishing situation and what time fishing for 🤷

@Dgalloway21

30 lb. braid to 20lb. mono leader most of the time. Sometimes just straight 30lb braid if I'm being lazy. Although we don't have that crystal clear water over here in louisiana so usually it doesn't affect much

@BigPoppieSeed

Twenty pound braid. Twenty (or 15) pound fluorocarbon 30". Double uni knot. Cricle hook of appropriate size. Live bait!

@SouthFloridaFishingAdventures

10lb braid, 14lb fluoro. Sometimes a steel leader if I'm going for cudas.

@wnd3339

Flouro is great until you have a fighting fish & it gets stretched. Then it's trash. So braid to mono for me

@joebleaux7039

Copolymer or braid with copolymer leader mostly.
