Riley, 100%. I heard an interview with Aubrey Plaza where she said it was her goal to make the audience wish that she would have ended up with Abby. Mission accomplished. Though I think all of us wish we could end up with Aubrey Plaza.

I still believe that Harper deserves her happy ending too. Although, I appreciate that they held off on the engagement/wedding for at least a year. Abby and Harper had a lot of things to sort out. But, I will concede that there is more chemistry between Abby and Riley.

I think the mistake of the movie was giving zero context of how Harper was “outside of the closet” and far from society and family expectations, and how was the relationship with Abby bc all we see is Abby being denied, mistreated and ignored. Of course we all wanted Abby to be with Riley at the end 💀

I need to do a rewatch to see if I still feel the same, it's been years, but I originally loved that Abby ended with Harper, I thought it was a nice depiction of someone making mistakes and someone giving a second chance and try to heal and grow together.
