My stepdad uses merry Christmas as a greeting all year round. Answering the phone (no matter who’s calling) he says “Merry Christmas” lmao

I feel "Merry Christmas" is more appropriate from the 20ish up until New Year's Eve. "Happy Holidays" practically covers the whole month of December up until the "back to school" date.

I'm not really religious, but I say Merry Christmas outta habit. When someone wishes me well, I return the same respect and politeness they just showed me. I'll say somethin' like, "same to you" or somethin' like that. I don't think gettin' all bunged up outta shape cause someone wished you well. Ain't no way to be.

"Merry Christmas." I'm a Christian, I celebrate Christmas, and that's why I say it. If you don't celebrate Christmas, that's fine. Just be grateful someone is wishing you a joyful time, regardless of the holiday they say.

I’m Jewish so many of the people I know I’ll greet “happy Hanukkah”. Although my Christian friends I’ll greet “merry Christmas”. I don’t get insulted if someone wishes me “merry Christmas” and just wish them back lol

"Merry Christmas and Happy Yule." That covers all the bases I care about.

I always just go for the good old "hello" because i'm too unfriendly to want to bask in other people's joy LOL

Merry Christmas of course, because Christ is the reason for the season :-) P.S. Misha you're awesome.

I don't change greetings based on when it is. I pretty much just say Hi, Hello, How's it going, or What's up all year round. I would not say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays unless one of those was said to me first, in which case I would probably just repeat what the other person said.
