High school is the year other high schoolers think they are an adult and supposed to be mature but after many years of watching other adults like teacher,s and workers and parents they are just as imature as high schoolers. Even my 65 year old substitute teacher that teaches my class once in awhile make imature jokes in my class. Remember being mature is not about growing up it's about taking things seriously when you need it to be. Of course when you are at work or being lectured in class take it seriously but outside be you even if you are imature (edit) forgot to add something

That’s true. I went from laughing at fart jokes to being weirded out by it to laughing again.

It has always seemed to me that middle school is the age where people try to act mature, and high school is where people don't care anymore

You know what they say, those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it.

Highschool is the place where you truly get to experience people’s fake sophisticated personalities.

This is facts but the end of middle school is when the guys are still like this but most of the girls think that they have already graduated

I never really had any urge to be mature I like myself the way that I am

Trust me maturity isn't what high schooler think it is. It ok to be immature in the right moments (like certain jokes) but bad in others (like in school during lectures).

I had a friend that always did this to me. I didn't listen to him. I just acted myself and did what I wanted and I wanted to stay a kid, so I did.
