Derek, you beautiful thing you. You, Tyler, and Mali. Were the inspirations that made me start animating maple, or even animating in general. I remember when you said you liked my MBR vs Yegor and wanted me to join Maple Rushed that made me so happy. (I also remember that you've let me start before everyone else because I had to go somewhere and couldent start with everybody on the timeline lol) and also when you posted the teaser for Maple Unmasked on your channel made me scream fr. You basiaclly responsible for kickstarting my animation career. I owe you so much, and I will never forget you kindness ❤️😩

Ngl just you commenting brought back a rush of memories of the good old days, im from the pre-big bang era, back when Maple's world map was massive and levels took months to level up, and watching your videos in the early Maple Kombat really added to that atmosphere Those were better times

I saw a different Maplestory animation on YouTube and thought it looked way cooler than the actual game. I wanted to try animating myself and quickly found Bannedstory. Maple Revolution became my first big inspiration, and through that I also discovered your videos! I had also heard and knew of you through the og Bannedstory Forums, which I was quite active on in early 2007-2009. Some little bits of humor I learned from Mapling Times I’m still using over 15 years later, like occasionally adding 1’s into my !’s 😂

I am uploading re-edits of my older videos as YouTube Shorts. There are going to be 60+ YT shorts that are scheduled to upload twice a day.. starting today..! So it's going to be a full month of Spritefan2 nostalgia. Along with some never-released videos I found. These are reformatted for vertical, and I was able to do some HD-exports on some of them. I'm excited to show clips of Mapling Times in higher quality without the screen recording watermarks. :)
I think it'll be nice as a mobile experience, to swipe through bite-sized clips of nostalgia throughout the years. I had fun prepping this, it brought up a lot of memories. On each of the uploads, I left small blurbs/commentary with some context and history of the times in the description. :P
The other benefit with YT shorts, is that I can upload/preserve sections of my videos that are no longer on the channel. I am uploading these in chronological order, so it's starting off from the beginning!
