Resident Evil started the survival horror genre in gaming. However the First Silent Hill perfected it. Such a great game. And the movie was decent enough.

Silent Hill was cool even though it was a bit of a mess like why was Pyramid head and the lying figure in this movie? They are manifestations of James Sunderland's inner torment from Silent Hill 2.
