Should I include face-cam talking head in my videos?

I'm not sure if you guys would want this. I get conflicting answers. Some people like it, others say it breaks the immersion

Honestly no, I’m sure you’re a beautiful man but I feel it would take me away from the story. When I watch your videos I am so invested in the story and they are amazing. You could always try one video with it and see how it goes tho 🤷‍♂

It is a major break in immersion. Many channels I watch started doing it, I can only assume it's to stop the 'AI' claims. But since AI can do convincing video as well, they all just drastically dropped the quality of their videos for nothing.

Personally i think a little hello at the start or end can be good. Your voice is very real but so many ai voiced slop channels make me wary (SOME ai slop is poorly, if at all, researched hence the trust issues) Also a face cam of bread crumbs would be just as good.

i think for the main video, your content is the type where i think having your face on screen would break the immersion, but your presentation is top notch though so whatever you choose i'm sure it will still turn out great 👍 been here for a long time and just wanted to say keep it u

I watch you because your voice is very nice to listen to. The face cam doesn’t add any value to the video IMO.

Do whatever you want to. 🙏 It's your face, it shouldn't be our decision

Those options made me laugh. Thank you for that

Almost everyone who has done a face reveal ended up slowing their career growth and in many cases lost more followers. Most people have a pre-determined idea of what a person looks like under a "mask".once you ruin the immersion there is no going back.

If I were you, I'd stick to doing it only if a sponsor will pay more for it. Your video format slaps and you deserve every penny you can get. Just keep it as unobtrusive as possible homie.

If you are going to do it, I would suggest start or end only. Breaking away to show a face cam other than that breaks the flow and immersion of a great video.

I really dislike it when (usually true crime channels) cut to facecam, I dont want to see someone sitting on their couch telling things to me rather than simply narrating and showing actually relevant imagery on-screen to accompany the narration. To me, it seems blatantly lazy; and, more subtly, rather vain! Ive unsubscribed to several channels that began doing this because I feel like it really hurts their content's overall quality. especially as they inevitably add more of them and for longer as they seem to realize it's a lot easier to get a good take talking on the couch than putting thought into making an engaging video to watch. TLDR: no face cam pls! your vids are peak & you shouldn't reformulate your secret 'sauce', especially for the sake of glorified corner cuts

NO! As a security researcher, DO NOT SHOW YOUR FACE! I love you and your content but showing your face on social media to the amount strangers you garner in views, can easily turn negative. Im sure I can find you now a days but dont make it easier for people like me. The nafarious actors that would use your likeness in a malicious state are the exact group of people I get paid to monitor. You dont know me but im asking you to trust me. Showing your face as a social media "influencer" is not a good idea. This started around 2015 when we got some new programs that used ai to track people and its freaky, I wouldnt want to show my face because I have seen the process they use to manipulate people. Anyone reading this should be still using a mask in public, not because of covid but because of tracking, and fraud. Ex: if you showed your face, then made a controversial video about certain politicians, you will be looked into and never dropped from the case.

Yeah I agree with most not because I don’t want to see your face lmao but it will take away from the content and it’s not really needed you already do a top tier job

Simply unnecessary. If it was early on sure why not. But at the this point the channel is established.

I don't see the harm in experimenting with facecam. You're a likable person and I don't think your face would subtract from the value of the content. Conversely, I don't think your face would add value to the video. Similar value to seeing Colonello in one of his videos.

I'd say add it if you wanted but right now, you could actually turn these into podcasts and upload them to different platforms if you wanted to double dip. Either way, I like the direction the channel has taken. I've followed since your runescape days, so I'm just along for the ride at this point.

i don’t think you’d look bad or anything i just think it wouldn’t add anything to your videos something in the start would be fine but having a talking head pop up in the middle of videos would be more distracting than anything else a little summary or something in the beginning and end would be fine but during wouldn’t make much sense
