I used to have loads of friends but joined military moved away from high-school ones, now as a disabled vet im no longer around my high-school friends or military ones, I'd be perpetually alone if it wasn't for online friends I game with and my wife. The thing I miss most in this world is having a group of friends I call family

Had the same bestie for 19 years. Still talk multiple times a week. She actually referred me for my current job. We live in different states now but we alternate flying out to see the other every year or so. Saw her last in August in my neck of the woods. I'm 39, she's 38. We've been friends our entire adult lives.

I have 2 friends (one of which I'd consider my best friend), but being an autistic adult with stunted socialization and really bad social anxiety, it took a lot if work to get here. It took till I was 20 but I finally made my first friend and am eternally grateful to him for putting up with me. :3

I've had the six not just best friends but life long friends who are still friends and not only talk to at least once a week, but hang out at least once every two weeks... three of them I met when I was two years old, one I met at five, and the other two I met when I was six... we've been friends for the last a minimum of thirty-four years (at least) and are still going, and let me tell you, we are basically family as we have been through EVERYTHING in our lives, together... we even have an annual fathers day cookout we've been doing together for the last 19 years

It's okay to only have one friend, that friend that you can tell everything and confide to and he/she does the same to you too.. it feels much better than having many friends just for company.

Had the same one in grade school, high school, college, and even in our first job. A couple of years ago, I went from best friend to best man at his wedding. We still play Borderlands and Divinity on occasion.

God I had to meet such a question, after I lost 17 friends in a span from 23.12.2020 to 21.08.2023, which for me, as 16 (at start) to 19 year (currently) old russian boy, is a tragedy equal to the end of the world. It still has me listening to songs such as "Apologize" by OneRepublic or "Goodbye" by Glenn Morrison, or "My Immortal" by Evanescence. Just because of how tragic those losses were for me. All of those 17 friends abandoned me for some reason and in most cases, I never even knew why they did this to me

I haven’t had a friend in years! I envy everyone that do have one. I miss a friend deeply.

Just one true best friend. The rest were weeded out when high school ended.

I miss having a best friend so much.. I haven’t had a best friend in about 7 years now and it’s been pretty lonely. I have acquaintances but no one I trust enough or know enough to feel that close bond.. hopefully some day soon.

Usually people who say they have no friends either say it as a joke or only have a few friends who they feel they don’t know well enough to consider friends. It is fairly uncommon for someone to have literally no friends

I only ever had one best friend. She passed away from breast cancer at the age of 49. We went all through school together. 1st grade to 12th. We were always in the same home rooms because our last names began with the same letter. I met my husband at her house. She met her husband through my uncle who was only three years older than me. Her name was Peggy. We were born in the same month in the same year. She would have been 65 next year along with me. I still think of her every day and miss her dearly. I have other friends but none like her.

I make friends everywhere I go. And I always try to get all my friends introduced to each other. That way we can all hangout and take turns hosting get togethers. It's super cool getting everyone important to me in the same room. I value the stories and memories I make with them all.

I have 1 true friend who I trust with my life. We’ve had each others back through the best and worst of times. He is more of a brother to me than my actual brothers. We’ve been friends for almost 20 years now. I have other friends too but Karl is that one friend that I know I can count on and he knows he can count on me if he needs something.

I’m so glad I have 1 best friend, when you’re younger you think everyone is your friend, it isn’t the case. When I stopped smoking weed and drinking, I lost friends, when I started going to the gym regularly I lost friends. A real friend is someone you can hang out with sober, talk for hours, not have to do anything. Supports you, genuinely cares and listens and is happy when you succeed. I’d say that is extremely rare, my own brother isn’t even happy for me because of how insecure and petty he is, even your own blood can have shitty character.

I'm blessed to have 3 friends who would be there in any situation.

I have a high standard for the application of the word "friend" to someone. Most of those I consider to have ever been my friends are people with whom I've lived. It takes that much consistent time.

I lost my best friend of 16 years last month. Anybody who says "he's just a dog" doesn't know what it's like to own a dog. Rest in peace Monty my old mate ❤

Lost my only best friend pretty recently due to my own behaviour. Haven't talked to her since but I am planning to write her a letter and explain my side and why i behaved the way i did. Let's hope it goes well.
