@5-minuteBreakthroughs

For years, I devoured self-improvement books trying to 'fix' myself. But it wasn't until I realized, really realized that I'm not broken that things truly changed. I'm a flawed human being and that's how it's supposed to be. It's part of the human experience. I stopped beating myself up and started loving myself. Made a huge difference. I still try to improve myself every day, but it's not out of self hate, it's from self love. Hope this made sense. My channel was originally called Work in Progress to truly embody this idea. Had to change the name for SEO reasons 😭

It’s used to be YouTube, now I listen to podcasts more at night to stop myself looking at a screen before bed. It’s helping with my sleep schedule

Your YouTube videos are so inspiring and reach me on my level. To visually see you teach new concepts that im currently practicing is very beneficial in my life right now.

First source is YouTube, for deeper content I read books. YT is best for quick learning and easy repetition. Books for the background and/or reference for later use.

I went with books but also love youtube videos, since I started reading books I have learnt so much more than from videos. They go way more in depth however I love videos because theyre easier to digest and Im a visual person.

Youtube and books. Books for the detailed stuff. Technical stuff Utube is good bc i am a visual learner. Charts n pictures and music help drivr home a message But i think the ultimate is gettin a good coach. They hold u accountable plus their advicr is tailored to yr specific situation. Not just a one size fits all. Everyone is different. Everyone is motivated differently. If u want the perfect suit then it must be tailor made to fit yr body. Not someone elses Same with self help

My favorite way to consume self-improvement is a deep conversation with a wise old soul over hot tea or coffee

When I want self improvement, I go to Buddha’s Dhammapada, Bhagavad Gita, Old or New Testament, Quran, Vedas, Zoroastrian Gathas, or Josephus. These should keep me busy for the rest of my Earthly Life.

I’ve stopped with the self-improvement stuff. The concept starts with the premise that you’re not good enough, so that in itself means you’re set to feel bad about any perceived lack of improvement or progress etc.
