Off the top of my head, he wouldn’t have said his name and Tommy and him would’ve left the camp upon immediately returning. Joel and Tommy are surrounded and don’t have stealth on their side. In a room with that many enemies, only the Batman would survive, unless Abby and the Fireflies handed Joel the victory. That’s the best I got on how Joel gets out of that place alive considering the entire the reason the Fireflies are here is to avenge their comrades as they all had ppl Joel killed.

I would have him be aware of the trap Abby sets, he gives a signal to Tommy once they are introduced to Abby's group, they both pull out their guns and start blasting. Abby flees with his golf club and lesbo or trans or whatever that thing is, they kidnap Ellie since she was originally there, some of the remaining group members flee and spread out, Joel and Tommy go after them. After tracking the remaining group down and eliminating them, they find Abby, his lover, and Ellie at the same place the final fight occurs, Ellie is tied while on the boat, Abby notices Joel and Tommy, he tells his lover to give him the golf club, Joel hands Tommy his gun and backpack. Tommy points his gun at Abby's lover from a distance, while Joel and Abby walk towards each other, they pace back and fourth for a few seconds, Abby yells "it's ma'am!" and Joel responds with "I don't give a rats ass what you are, you crossed a line you can't come back from, and now it's time for you to meet your end". Abby rushes towards Joel, letting a Brock Lesnar esque roar, Joel ducks and punches Abby in the gut, he drops the golf club, holds his stomach, and gasps for air, Joel delivers a uppercut, Abby stumbles back, Joel then delivers a leg kick that buckles Abby, then another kick to Abby's other leg, this drops Abby to his knees Joel takes advantage with some combination strikes, jab, left cross, and a uppercut, this is causes Abby to cry in pain, his cries sounding reminiscent of Joe Swanson, his lover starts to break down, Tommy still locked on the he-she, while Abby continues sobbing, Joel is busy doing the Shane McMahon shuffle. Once Joel was done taunting Abby, he picked up the golf club, paced back and fourth with it, almost admiring the golf club, he ask Abby "you play golf?" , this confuses Abby, trying to stop the tears and mucous, he responds "what?" , his response amuses Joel as he chuckles, whines up the golf club and says "I always play a perfect game" with a smile on his face he swings the golf club with great force to Abby's face, making a noticeable crunching sound that spins Abby on his stomach motionless. The he-she screams in shock, Joel nods at Tommy, he pulls the trigger, leaving a bullet in between it's eyes, this surprises Ellie as Joel and Tommy approach her, they untie her, before they could say anything, Ellie starts blabbering about how Abby and his he-she lover weren't so bad and how they planned on having a three some, and she was only tied up because she likes being kinky. Joel and Tommy looked at each other, then back at Ellie, they both grab Ellie and drag her to the water and shove her head under water, all while the Home Improvement theme song plays as the screen goes black to end the story.

It’d have to be a chase, not a fight. Too many people for Joel to deal with at once. But an extended chase scene could be interesting.

Help me out guys, I have some ideas for a future animation , hypothetically if Joel from the last of us were put in a similar situation to TLOU2 how would he have survived? and how would you have written that scene.The parameters are that Joel must fight Abby to the death and the scenario must be similar to what happened in the game.
