Melody. When you are thinking about your favorite track, its melody is the first thing that comes to your mind

both are equally as important, the drums for the foundation and the melody to bring everything to life

Melody is important... As nobody's gonna remember the drums unless they are crazy or legendary

The melody is literally the song. You could listen to a song's melody without drums and recognize it.

The Melody 1000%. The melody is what paints the Picture/image in ones mind and the rhythm is what moves this Picture foward like a heartbeat. It gives the still image ( Melody) life and movement.

drums are so essential to a groove. that said, there are literal producers thriving off loops with no percussion. I’m not hearing anyone drop melody-less beats with just drums.

To me, melody is what truly makes a song memorable or addicting. How many songs can you recall or recognize by drums instead of melody? Also, you CAN still make melodies out of drums.

a bit of both: the drums drive the whole beat while the melody gives the song emotion, thus syncing perfectly together

I think melody is the first thing that attracts a listener.....tho drums are equally important too but yeah a good melody will always give good vibes to the producer to put in good drums

I love music when both drums and melody have there time to shine while the other takes it back a notch. It adds nice contrast.

Drums, you can make so many cool melodies but percussive noises give everything the rhythm or energy it has

Percussions/drums & melodies go hand & hand. You can have songs without one or the other, and you can have songs with both.
