Hi Dan, enjoyed your Q&A. My question is about Alko wheel locks on single axle caravans. I sometimes use a jack to level the caravan on our seasonal pitch and prefer to use tyre savers. If you fit the Alko lock when the wheel is off the ground the subsequent suspension loading which occurs when the van is returned to ground level “winds up” interference between the wheel and the lock. So you can’t remove the lock without jacking up the van again to release the loading. I’m always a bit nervous of this so I generally try and predict where the wheel will end up after jacking the van, to ensure the suspension is not bound up for long periods. As the Alko literature states you can use the jack for levelling purposes, it sort of suggests that leaving the suspension wound up is OK. This must happen on double axle caravans. I’ve asked Alko direct but they don’t respond. What’s your opinion?

Subbed. Ah. ZX Spectrum, I used to write games for that. Annoying that your “random bunch of stuff” channel has more subs than ours 😀

Dan, do you know of a way to install a small PIR on the awning light ? As for your secret project - we’d defo be interested. Currently using Aqara products and apple home app in the van 👍

The Trudgians
Hi folks, thanks for the feedback on yesterdays Q&A Wednesday. The balance of too short, too long, just right is one i need to perfect. Next weeks video will be longer, and the questions I have selected will be more varied. I'm actually going to record 6 questions and seeing how the length goes will dictate which questions will make the final cut.
Ive had many questions and comments about my 2nd channel. its a random collection of stuff I do in my spare time - link here youtube.com/@ColdestMoon_Channel
Tomorrow (Friday) will be the video of our recent trip to Cirencester Park with @MacSarah I hope you enjoy it. and my horrific singing!
