This is final exam week, and the weather is bad. During Winter break, I'll be doing some telescope work with the Sun over on Shamrock Banks Observatory. But the good news is that there is some minor activity in the flat earth community and I've got a couple of videos I am interested in doing.
I'm going to look at a 'we see too far' video of a power plant in Ohio across Lake Erie. We'll also look at the mathematics of the 'distance to the horizon' calculation. For fun, we will have a look at the idea of dropping a rock into a hole drilled completely through the earth and learn some surprising facts.
