We have half a continent yet we are very poor. How this happens is with a bad mentality and leadership that needs to be changed.

This is just about right here in Michigan, US too. Our eggs have tripled in price in the past few weeks because our state government decided we should only have "cage free eggs" and they keep killing all the chickens in a 50 mile radius if a duck sneezes in a pond somewhere. It's insane.

@lucysky9827

That's about right!

@dh12.

Watch how fast prices drop if the general public decides to revolt by not going to work anymore because it's almost pointless. A nationwide truckers strike would send the loudest fkn message ever.

@jasonlauritsen5587

Lmao, yep. So glad that I'm an Albertan. Our prices, while still ridiculous, are wayyyy lower than in BC and out east. Gotta love it when some of the best beef on the planet is raised on the other side of my backyard's fence. If I need beef, chicken, or pork, I have a thousand (barely an exaggeration) options, within a few miles of my home, and most of the time, it's far better than any of you can get at a store. I buy pigs with minor hernias for dirt cheap, if I even pay for them, cuz they can't be processed by automated systems due to computers being confused by any anomaly, black angus are everywhere around me, and my buddies raise their own chickens for meat and eggs. Move out of the cities people.

I just had a moment with this. Recently got a new cat. It's been a few years since I've purchased litter. They wanted $17 for 9 kgs. I know for a fact that I was paying $7 for 18 kgs a few years ago. Fucking sand guys like tf

It's brutal here. 20 dollars for two thin steaks. I lost my special diet due to this inflation.
