If anyone is confused about where my video about AntiRex3000YT went, it was hit with a copyright strike and was taken down due to an image used in my intro. I don’t know if they’re claiming that image as their own but it isn’t as it has existed on my DA account for years (posted in January of 2017). It was also an edit/recolor of official art from Skylanders (the image was Chill of Skylanders Giants) so it technically isn’t my art either, but high school me was bored and dumb. I will edit the intro with my own art of the character when I get the chance.
I however feel like it was taken down because of the subject of the video. I can’t remember what I said but if I was overly critical, I apologize. I suspect that it was reported by the subject in question as they disliked what I had said and did so to spite me. The original video is currently corrupted/unviewable on my current video editing app on my phone, so I cannot edit the intro and reupload.
I have been advised to send a counter strike but I’m afraid to loose my channel if YouTube finds it as a misuse of the system. My dad has suggested I could try and convince the claimant to retract the strike but I’m scared of giving them any information that could get me in further trouble or be subjected to harassment by the claimant or anyone they leak the information to to dox me. I’m just at a loss as to what to do.
