Does sugarcane grow faster on sand or dirt?

I think it used to be faster on sand but they changed it. I could also be 100% wrong lol. But I think that’s what it was.

Xsumavoid tested this years ago. So unless somethings changed it grows the same no matter what it's planted on. But it's one of those fun myths that never goes away.

It’s exactly the same on all soil types, but you should be growing sugarcane on mud because the smaller hit box is more hopper friendly

It's the same on both, but if you're planting it on dirt you're doing it wrong.
