Probably the guy that has access a summon that destroys a dimension that contains entire galaxies. That’s usually a pretty good win condition.

Nah people who say Guts are not paying attention. I love Guts but Cloud swings his sword almost like it weighs nothing. Plus his proficiency in magic would leave him with a massive advantage.

I love both but Cloud clears Guts easily. Cloud might even have a chance at the godhand considering he’s fought Sephiroth in his final form.

People who voted for guts don't realise that at full power, with acsess to whatever materia he wants, cloud is basically unkillable. Summons, healing magic, time stop, casting a whole litany of status effects plus insane strength speed and durability naturally. Cloud and the ff7 gang survived a supernova..... Even before gaining noteworthy strength, early game he walks off a 300 meter fall through a church roof onto a flower bed. Guts is incredible but this just isn't fair

Which of these bois tanked a supernova to the face? That should answer your question. Nah, seriously though. Guts is my favourite character in fiction, but part of what makes him excellent is that he is a mortal man with no super powers trying to survive in a brutal world. Cloud is a magic wielding superhuman clone who fights galactic monsters and planet-busting Gods.

It'd be a much more fair match up if it was Zack Fair vs Guts. Considering Cloud needed two other people to take down Sephiroth and Zack nearly solo'd Sephiroth and was only taken down because his focus was divided between keeping an unconscious Cloud safe, and fighting Sephiroth.
