I’ve been watching your sermons brother for the past couple years. I’ve been in a long season of this kind will never come out except by fasting and prayer. I’m getting ready to take the promised land and get my soul back from the devil in Jesus Name. This wilderness is getting old..you’re right. Our convictions are not enough.

Nope my friend! Victory over sin is consequence of giving your life to Christ because his obedience is imparted to us to be able to obey. And that's the new covenant with no necessity of rituals and ceremonies. But if we do not believe that by faith guess what,it is not going to happen! That is the importance of good true theology.

The Bible is clear that regarding sotereology, God calls, elects, chooses and predestines( Ephesians 1&2; John 6&10; Romans 8&9; Deut 7:1-8 etc…) However, humanity has limited freewill! Repentance lies in the balance of obedience and sinfulness! The goal of sanctification is to create a spiritual knowledge of what displeases our King and what is pleasurable… hence; what becomes obedience out of repentance from sinfulness! Too many examples to give but they are found on every page and in every story, written to guide us daily! Blessings

So can you please tell me how to be saved? I do believe in Christ and I do trust Him only for salvation but I am often confused if I really am saved because I hear so many different teachings on how to be saved.

Do more research on calvinism. These people do not represent traditional calvinist teaching. Traditionaly all calvinist churches do affirm free will and also say you have to obey God and not Sin.

Psalms 139:16 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How do you apply free will to this Bible verse.

Cleveland Street Preachers
Voddie Bauchum as well as other famous Calvinist preachers in the Western Christian sphere said “All the Gospel requires is repentance and faith (ie not obedience which he stated). The Gospel doesn’t require obedience, the Gospel produces obedience.”
Many famous preachers today say this. That obedience is the fruit of our faith. This is partially true however let’s address his claim.
Does the Gospel produces obedience? It can. Yet why does Voddie and Calvinists like MacArthur, Sprole, Washer, etc also say we will always continue to sin? I agree that we will never be perfect in this life. But to say the Gospel produces obedience isn’t true.
The Gospel produces the DESIRE to obey God. However, you can reject that desire. This is why you have to be careful of your theology. These guys don’t believe you have free will. So they assume God makes you obey Him once born again. So then whose fault is it if you sin after being made new in Christ? They’ll never say God but if they’re truly honest with their reformed theology they have to admit it’s also God.
Jesus says in Mat 7:21 only those who do the will of the Father enter heaven. The HS gives us new desires and convictions after coming to belief in Jesus, true saving belief, but that doesn’t mean you will act on those desires and convictions. You have to cooperate with the HS by choosing to resist temptations in those many moments you will have, which isn’t God resisting but you. It’s Him HELPING but not DOING it for you. See the difference between the true faith and the false reformed faith?
The early church believed we have free will. They didn’t believe it was God’s fault if we obey Him or disobey Him.
