My understanding of YouTube's comment section:

You comment, and the creator likes your comment, and you like their video
But if you comment and the creator doesn't like your comment, you delete it
But if you comment and someone else likes your comment, you keep it there

I'd like to know what to do with a channel that doesn't like your comments or replies.
