It honestly doesn't make sense that she'd be the daughter of anypony in Ponyville, given that the final song was showing her to Ponyville for the first time. I've just always been of the mindset that she's just from some random couple somewhere else in Equestria

Wait.....I just realized what if Luster Dawn Twilight's new Student is Starlight's and Sunburst's Child/Foal and they decided to have her learn the Values of Friendship under Princess Twilight's Care?! That would honestly make a lot of sense!

So far i agree with the theory of Luster being a foal of Starlight and Sunburst, given the similarities, but I can definitely see her being just Sunburst's relative (say, a niece), or just a child of some unknown, most likely Canterlotian parents

Oh my lord, I NEED to see the pony race genetics! And the twins, but I feel those are the same in the end. I myself calculated the chance for either cake twin to be the race they are based on the family tree Mr. Cake told us, and they have a 1.5% chance and a 0.75% chance respectively to exist (as far as my math went). But all of that just opened the door for How race genetics worked! And based on how you've done things, i would ADORE seeing your take on it. I cannot wait to see what you come out with next

she is the adopted child of starlight and trixie, that is why she doesn’t know much about ponyville, she was born somewhere else before they got her :)
