Hey everyone, you know I don't do this very often or at all, but I'm scared. I probably won't keep this up for long, I just have to spread the word cos shit like this makes me wanna delete all my videos
This sub maker ( @rarelysilk ) has been going around copying my entire style. Now, I wouldn't even blame them if they hadn't gone this far - I tried to sort it out privately, but they deleted my comment.
We first started interacting. Maybe a year ago, they made a small bundle of my videos, which I didn't really mind because I love seeing you guys show support
He then proceeded to show a lot of love and support, which I was very grateful for, by the way.
But then he started making videos that were surprisingly similar to mine, and I let it go because in a community like this, we're all inspired by someone. I'm also very inspired by some of the channels. But these vids are closer and closer to my own style. 😭😭 This is flattering, but I want to remind everyone that there is a difference between inspiration and identity.
The problem at first was that it wasn’t attributed to me. But i let it go because it’s a stupid reason to start a drama with someone who is clearly just trying their best.
But it got to the point where they actually took away MY ideas. Even to the point of copying video layouts and watermarks for some reason. The way he edits just like me you'd think we're friends or at least close, but we are NOT 😭✌️ I don't know this person
I always make sure to give credit when it’s due, show love on everyone’s channels, and take inspiration from them while still tributing them. I even put links to them on my main page.
When I create subliminals or whatever, my energy goes into it because I do what I love. I’m not saying I hate you or any of you. I’m just saying I’m really creeped out. Stop trying to be me and be yourself. You’re doing great now.
Theres been others but this is the most irritating one because it's like ragebait, he's not even trying to hide it so this must be what he wants
