Ever since switching to iOS 18, I’ve got all kinds of weird glitches. Like half the time when I go to take a picture, I push the button and it closes the camera app. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. It also took a lot of tweaking of settings just to get the phone to ring when it’s supposed to.

Believe or not, I am still hanging onto my 8 plus, but sadly they make you upgrade due to software, and I will have to soon. Any suggestions that are the most similar and without any of the AI or privacy violations? Thank you for sharing all your helpful tips!

Security fixes and upgrades of operating software are the only things needed. However most of these “upgrades” consist of emoticons, which are useless BS. How about putting a little effort into upgrading the design of the phone itself…flip phone, how about a fold?

Whichever one still let me use Apple maps in darkmode. Im not sure if its a bug or a feature but i cannot select light or dark, or for that matter satalite and have the phone retain the setting during navigation anymore, it just uses default based off how much light there is outside. Its very irritating, if someone knows a fix let me know

I have had Apple computers since the mid 80’s , and the best ones were in the 90’s because they lasted longer, the machine nearly repaired itself, and very few glitches. Now they say it has to be upgraded every few years. (2 to 3 years) with technology moving so fast it should be even more efficient. It was way more convenient then to purchase a reliable Apple.
