Tomorrow is YouTube’s judgment day, and if you don’t hear from me after this it’s because Youtube has marked me as under 18 and I refuse to give them my ID. And if that’s the case, then thank you all for everything. It took me a while to grow this channel ever since I started uploading in 2016, but then the COPPA thing started and it made me delete all of my videos in December 2019. After some thought, I decided to started again in January 2020. At the time, I had over 200 subscribers that I had gained in those past 3 years and didn’t know if I was able going to get 1K subscribers, but here I am now sitting at 2.5K.
While it’s true that I may have lost interest in making videos due to lack of motivation and college keeping me busy, I did plan on making video essays but I don’t know if that will ever happen due to YouTube’s AI verification thing happening tomorrow.
I know my channel was created 2014 but I worry that YouTube may mark me as a kid if it thinks I was 5 or a newborn when I created my account, when I definitely was not. And last year, I lost my ability to pin comments and other features.
If YouTube marks me as a kid tomorrow, then it may be a sign to move on since nothing ever lasts forever. I’m 20 after all and I don’t have the same passions as a I did 5 years ago. Years ago, I actually did think about when it was time to quit and thought of maybe quitting during college. Time went by fast that now I’m about to enter my 3rd year of college and have uploaded every once in a while since the past 2 years. Making videos was only a hobby of mine and I did not intend to become a full time YouTuber.
If somehow my channel survives the verification thing, then I will update you guys but it doesn’t then it’s been nice knowing you all. I’m very thankful to have met a lot of new people throughout these 9 years I’ve been on the Internet.
