It's good that you draw attention to this and it is a big problem for female creators in particular, including those not creating ASMR. We can see inappropriate public comments but far worse is often taking place in messages and "requests". It points to a wider culture of disrespect and it's alarming that some don't even seem to see it as an issue or problem..

I watch Asmr to de-stress myself and to have a peaceful sleep. And you are one of the person who was successful in giving me that. So much respect for you Ma’am ++ And just ignore these people and keep moving forward to make your videos.

Not condoning it at all but I didn’t actually realize that there’s more overlap than I thought until recently. Many many ASMRtists have Onlyfans or 18+ Patreons, a lot more than I had thought until I started checking the descriptions of videos… It’s kind of unfortunate since I think it gives ASMR a lewd stigma which helps contribute to these kinds of incidents as well as it even tends to taint the quality of some ASMR because there are increasingly sexualized undertones Sorry that you have to deal with people like this :(

I don't condone or excuse this creepy, thirsty behaviour and I wish you didn't have to experience it. However, if you're going to call out the people who make these kinds of requests because you don't like that type of behaviour, you also have a responsibility to call out those ASMRtists who deliberately sexualise ASMR, because they are directly encouraging this type of behaviour. There are plenty of ASMRtists who, although they don't produce explicit adult content, blatantly use their sexuality and physical attractiveness to drive interest in their videos. And there is a smaller minority of ASMRtists who literally have OnlyFans pages and/or sell adult content on other platforms alongside making regular ASMR content. The unfortunate truth of the situation is that those ASMRtists who fall into these categories contribute to the sexualisation of ASMR as a whole, which then impacts creators like you Autumn who, to their credit, don't sexualise themselves at all and get by on merit. None of the above is to excuse guys acting creepy or thirsty. But if you dislike that behaviour you should be consistent and also call out those who knowingly encourage it.

So sorry for you! The irony is they wouldn’t have the guts to ask you to your face either. People are very brave and very stupid when sat behind a keyboard!!!

Your ASMR is excellent in providing relaxation to many people, I hope this doesn’t discourage you to keep creating and keep up the amazing content x

So awful! I’m sorry this happens to you! I hope that they stop so that you’ll feel okay to return! We miss you!

We all support you through this, these people don’t belong in our community. Stay strong, nobody should have to go through this. There is a small majority who believe they have the right to do this and should be ashamed of themselves.

This is the disrespect no one should face, it’s annoying when people do this kind of stuff. Especially when the creator is making amazing content and once they start getting these nasty/disrespectful emails it will eventually push them away. Just know we appreciate your hard work especially since you came back after a long break and hope that these nasty messages don’t push you away from making amazing videos, you have a unique way of making asmr videos that are just amazing. As always I hope you have an amazing day and it goes well ❤️

So sorry you have to deal with that, I think people just see other ASMRtists who do that stuff and assume that others do to for no reason. I hope they get the message and stop.

Autumn
Hi everyone,
I'd like to draw awareness to misogyny female ASMRtists face on a regular basis. The ASMR industry is a completely separate industry to the adult entertainment industry. Just like you wouldn't dream of asking your accountant to send you nudes, you shouldn't dream of asking the ASMRtist you watch every night to either. If you are interested in the intersection of the ASMR and the adult industry, you should ask someone who works in the adult industry for that content. Just like if you were interested in the intersection of the accounting and adult industry, you 'd ask an adult worker to make that happen for you, not your accountant. Women in ASMR deserve to be treated with the same level of respect as females in other professional fields and areas of life.
I am aware that almost all of my subscribers share the same opinion as me and I love all of you that do! But, to the small minority of you who don't... stop sending me emails asking for NSFW content!!
(This screenshot is one out of the 100 messages I have got like this since I started producing ASMR)
